Asia Pacific Management Review (APMR) one of the leading international journals for management in the Asia Pacific region has now reached the tenth year of its existence. To generate and enhance the exchange of information and research, the editorial board has decided to increase the frequency of APMR publication from four to six issues annually from Volume 9, 2004. Precisely, each of the six issues will be published in February, April, June, August, October and December, respectively. In addition, from Volume 10, APMR format has been changed from B5 size to letter size to enhance its quality and readability.
I would like to convey my sincere appreciation to our readers, researchers and editors who have actively and enthusiastically participate in APMR’s community. Our previous Asia Pacific Management Conferences in Taiwan (November 4, 2000), Malaysia (November 3-5, 2001), Hong Kong (November 14-17, 2002), Japan (November 19-21, 2003) and Korea (October 27-29, 2004) have demonstrated immense success and achievement in our operational objectives. Based on our strong intention and willingness to work cooperatively, I am pleased to announce that our 2005 Asia Pacific Management Conference will be held on November 15-17, 2005 at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. The call for paper is announced at the last part of this issue.
Furthermore, to serve our readers, we have determined to ensure the high quality in our network framework. We strive our best to meet and exceed our readers’ expectation by placing the emphasis on quality and professionalism.
Last but not least, I have a strong desire to encourage and invite the current and prospective academics and professionals to contribute their expertise, knowledge and experiences to APMR to advance the theory and practice in management.
